Caitlin Pettijohn
Caitlin received much of her early training at the Washington School of Ballet in Washington, D. C., where she had the thrilling and terrifying honor of being co-taught by Miss Mary Day. Just before the turn of the century, she and her family moved to Idaho. There, despite the lack of population density, she was blessed with many wonderful teachers at Festival Dance Academy.
Caitlin continued her addiction to dance in college. At the University of Missouri-Kansas City, she received many performance opportunities and was able to perform in such works as Balanchine's Serenade and Valse Fantasie and Phillip Jerry's Our Town.
After graduating summa cum laude with a BFA in Dance, Caitlin was accepted into Störling Dance Theater where she has lived happily ever after. She has enjoyed many featured roles including the Prostitute in Prodigal Daughter, Mrs. Walker in Underground, Malthace in Child of Hope and performing as the soloist in “High Heel Blues”. This is her 11th season with the company.
