Underground

  • Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts 1601 Broadway Boulevard Kansas City, MO, 64108 United States (map)

Join us for the return of Störling Dance Theater's renowned Underground! In its 18th year of impactful performances, Underground recounts the stories of the Underground Railroad where men and women came together to fight the evils of slavery with good.

Through Mona Störling-Enna's poignant storytelling and the dedicated performances of the artists, this soulful ballet vividly depicts the journey of three escaped slaves and the myriad characters they encounter along the way. Graphic and gripping, Underground both challenges and encourages audience members to follow in the steps of those who have gone before.
