Company Audition
Störling Dance Theater is seeking professional male and female dancers for the 2025-2026 season.
Love the style of Störling Dance Theater? Interested in telling relevant and compelling stories through movement? Audition to dance with us for an exciting season!
The audition will include Ballet, Pointe (optional) and Modern. Please bring your printed audition application, headshot and résumé.
Check-in will begin at 8:15 a.m. Brief interviews will follow the dance portion of the audition.
Störling Dance Theater is a neo-classical, modern dance company which specializes in storytelling, bringing the Beauty of Dance and the Power of Story to the Kansas City community and beyond.
Need to audition online?
While live auditions are preferred, we understand not everyone can travel to audition in person. Register below and submit a video including the requirements detailed below. Video auditions must be submitted by March 1, 2025.
The entire audition should be included in one (1) video. Please make sure your video does not require any passwords for access. A YouTube link is preferred.

MODERN/CONTEMPORARY
Two (2) combinations or previous performance clips demonstrating two (2) different styles of movement and/or dramatic expression.

BALLET BARRE (only one side is necessary)
· Plié with Port de Bras
· Tendu and Dégagé
· Rond de Jambe
· Fondu, Développé
· Frappé
· Grand Battement
BALLET CENTER (both sides)
· Adagio
· Waltz (including extensions and pirouettes)
· Petit Allegro
· Grand Allegro
· Turns across the floor
